Sunday mornings for six weeks old through 6th grade, where kids get a knowledge of God that stirs their hearts for Christ.
If you are visiting with kids for the first time, here is the short version: your child will be safe, they will have fun, and they will hear the Bible taught by an adult who has been checked out and trained to care for them well.
Our Sunday morning programming exists to engage kids with the life-changing power of God’s Word. The goal is not to keep them busy for seventy-five minutes. The goal is to give them a knowledge of God that stirs their hearts for Christ and prepares them for a lifetime of engagement with the church’s mission. What happens in those rooms is the same work happening in the sanctuary, scaled to a five-year-old.
“These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Notice who that verse is addressed to. It is not addressed to a children’s ministry. Discipling children is first a parent’s work, and Ashe Alliance exists to back you up in it, not to take it off your hands.
Picture your child as a river. A river needs two banks to go anywhere. Take one away and the water still moves, it just spreads out and loses its direction. The first bank is your home, Monday through Saturday: the questions at bedtime, the conversation in the car, the way your kids watch you handle a hard week. That is the bank that shapes them most, and no one else can build it for you. The second bank is the church. We teach your kids the same Scripture you are teaching them, put grown-ups around them who know their names, and equip you for the discipling that is yours to do.
One hour on Sunday will never replace your home, and it was never meant to. Set alongside it, it keeps the water running in one direction.
Three rooms, one aim.
Rooms are open and staffed during the 11:00 service. Drop-off opens at 10:50, and every room is led by trained, background-checked volunteers.
Nursery & Pre-K
A fully stocked nursery for babies and toddlers, and a Pre-K space where the youngest kids sing, play, and hear their first Bible stories. Care here is exactly what it sounds like: warm, attentive, and unhurried, so you can worship without wondering.
K–3rd Grade
The age where the big questions start. Kids work through the Bible together with worship, a lesson, and hands-on activity built for how six- to nine-year-olds actually learn. Expect them to come out talking.
4th–6th Grade
Older kids get their own room and their own conversation. Less crafting, more asking. This is where we start treating them as young disciples with real questions rather than as an audience to entertain.
A real curriculum, not filler.
We use Brite as our core curriculum across our children’s classrooms. It is age-appropriate and Bible-centered, which means the lesson your first grader hears is not a moral fable with a Bible verse stapled to the end. It is Scripture, taught at their level, pointing where all of Scripture points.
Parents are welcome to ask what is being taught in any given week. We would rather you know than guess, and the best conversations your kids have about Sunday will happen at your dinner table, not in our classroom.

Handed off with care.
Trusting someone else with your child is not a small thing. Here is what we do so that trust is well placed.
Background checks, every volunteer
Every adult who serves in a children’s space has completed a background check before their first Sunday. No exceptions, and no “just filling in this week.”
Trained to serve, not just supervise
Volunteers are trained for the room they serve in, from how to handle a crying two-year-old to how to answer a nine-year-old’s question about heaven.
Secured rooms during service
Once the service begins, the doors to each kids’ space are closed. Nobody wanders in, and nobody wanders out.
Checked in, checked out
Every child is checked in at the desk and given a sticker name tag before they reach the classroom, and at pickup they are released only to you. If we need you during the service, we will come find you.
How drop-off actually works.
No app to download, nothing to set up ahead of time. Four steps, about two minutes.
- Arrive around 10:50. Drop-off opens ten minutes before the service. If it is your first time, a few extra minutes takes the rush out of it.
- Head through the double doors. They are straight ahead from the main entrance. Everything for kids is on the other side of them.
- Stop at the check-in desk. It is right there when you come through, and someone is working it. They will take your name and your child’s name and print a sticker name tag with your child’s name and a number on it.
- Walk your child to their room. A volunteer will meet you at the classroom door and welcome your child in. Then you are free to go worship.
A children’s wing built for who’s next.
In eighteen months we went from almost no kids to more than forty. That is a wonderful problem, and right now it is a real one: our children’s wing is full. Every Sunday we are one family away from being out of room.
So we are building. The expansion adds dedicated rooms for nursery, toddlers, preschool, K–3rd, and 4th–6th, along with their own worship space, their own bathrooms, and a secure check-in area. Not a bigger church. Room for the gospel to keep growing.
Before you come.
Where does my child go on Sunday?
All of our children’s rooms are through the double doors, straight ahead from the main entrance. Nursery and Pre-K are the first two rooms on the left. The K–3rd grade room is the last room on the left, and the 4th–6th grade room is the last room on the right.
If it is your first time, do not worry about memorizing that. Come through the double doors and stop at the check-in desk. Someone is there every Sunday, and they will get your child checked in and point you to the right room.
How do I check my child in?
Come through the double doors, straight ahead from the main entrance. The check-in desk is right there on the other side, staffed every Sunday. Whoever is working it will take your name and your child’s name and print a sticker name tag with your child’s name and a number on it.
From there you walk your child down to their classroom, where a volunteer will be at the door to welcome them in. Drop-off opens at 10:50, ten minutes before the service.
We are coming to the 9:15 service. What about kids?
Our two Sunday services are identical, and children’s programming runs during the 11:00. If the 9:15 fits your family better, your kids are welcome in the service with you. Nobody here is bothered by a restless three-year-old.
How are the environments kept safe?
Every environment is supervised by trained volunteers who have all completed a background check. Once the service begins, the doors to each kids’ space are closed, and your child is released only to you at pickup.
What is my child being taught?
We use Brite as our core curriculum. It is age-appropriate and Bible-centered, and it moves kids through Scripture rather than through a rotation of disconnected lessons. If you want to know what is coming up in your child’s room, just ask a volunteer at drop-off.
There is a job here your size.
Some of these ask for a weekly rhythm, others only once or twice a month, and several never require you to teach a lesson.
Nursery, Pre-K, and Elementary. These roles run weekly during the 11:00 service, so the kids see the same faces Sunday to Sunday.
Lead Teacher
Bring the Bible to life for a room of kids using the Brite curriculum. You plan and teach the lesson.
Assistant
Team up with the Lead Teacher to keep the room running. Help with crafts, guide kids through the lesson, and walk them to the bathroom.
Substitute
The on-call hero. Step in for a Lead Teacher when one is needed and carry the lesson for the day.
Every one of these matters as much as what happens in the rooms, and none of them require you to teach.
Greeter
The smiling face that welcomes kids and parents. Check children in and set the tone for a family’s whole morning.
Playground Pal
Watch over the kids on the playground after class so the post-class playtime stays safe and fun.
Classroom Caretaker
Keep our spaces inviting. Disinfect tables and chairs, and decorate classrooms with the teacher’s guidance.
Administrative Partner
For the organizers and the crafters. Make copies, prep craft supplies, and shop for project items.
Event Developer
Dream up VBS, the Christmas play, and other outreach. Brainstorm ideas for children’s ministry events.
Recruiter
Invite others into the work. Help spread the word and recruit volunteers on your own schedule.
