Get to know us

The Discover Event.

A relaxed Saturday morning to hear our story, meet our leaders, and explore whether Ashe Alliance is the place God is calling you to belong.

The On-Ramp

Your way in.

The Discover Event is the on-ramp into the life of our church — an honest, low-pressure look at who we are, what we believe, and how we live together. It’s a chance for you to hear about us, and for us to start getting to know you.

What you’ll learn

Five things, clearly.

We try to keep it practical. By the end of the morning, you’ll have a clear answer to each of these.

01

The vision, values, and history of our church

Where we came from, what we’re aiming at, and the convictions that shape how we do everything else.

02

How to get connected in a life group

The smaller communities where most of the real life of our church actually happens, week to week.

03

How to grow deeper through our discipleship ministries

The relationships and rhythms that help you mature in Christ, minister to others, and multiply that work in someone else’s life.

04

How to volunteer and serve

The teams and gaps where your gifts could meet a real need — Sunday morning and beyond.

05

How to become a member of AAC

A walkthrough of our membership pathway, so you know exactly what the next step looks like if you want to take it.

Who you’ll meet

Real people, real questions.

You’ll have the chance to meet our elders, deacons, and volunteer leaders — the folks doing the actual work of shepherding and serving this church.

Bring your questions. The harder, the better. We’d rather you ask now than wonder later. And you’ll share a meal with members of our church family — because most of what makes a church a family happens around a table.

Frequently Asked

Good questions.

What is the Discover Event?
The Discover Event is the on-ramp into the life of our church. It’s an opportunity for you to hear about who we are, and for us to start getting to know you better.
What do you actually do at one?
We walk through the distinctive marks of our church — our history, values, vision, leadership, and theology (we get excited about this part). We also cover practical ways for you to plug in: gospel-centered communities, discipleship ministries, and service opportunities.
How long does it last?
We gather on a Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Breakfast, coffee, and lunch are all included.
Can I bring my kids?
Middle and high schoolers are welcome to join us for the food and sessions. If you need childcare for younger kids in order to attend, please let us know as early as you can — we’ll do our best to arrange care through our volunteers. We can’t always promise availability, but we’ll always try.
Do I have to become a member after attending?
Not at all. We hope you’ll consider it after the Discover Event, but it’s not a requirement. This is your chance to look at us up close and prayerfully decide whether AAC is where God is calling you to belong.
